Dr. Wang received her Ph. D. degree in Chemistry from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2007. She then went on to be a visiting scholar for about one year in Stanford Medical School of Stanford University. She was back to China and joined College of Pharmacy of Nankai University as an associate professor in 2009 and was promoted to professor in 2015. She has published over 40 research papers in international journals, including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., and Anal. Chem., et al.. Her current research interests focus on the synthesis, characterization, and development of molecular hydrogels for biomedical applications and controlled drug delivery, targeting agents, etc. including:

1)   Molecular hydrogels based on anti-cancer drugs;

2)   Molecular hydrogels formed by protein –peptide interactions;

3)   Hybrid hydrogels formed by molecular hydrogel and polymeric hydrogels for immobilized enzymes;

4)   The evaluation of the biocompatibility of molecular hydrogels in vitro and in vivo.
