Chenggang Li obtained a BS and MS degree in Harerbin Medical University, Haerbin, China, in 2007, and a PhD degree from Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, in 2010, in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Started his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts 2011. He joined Nankai University, Tianjin in 2016 and currently a Senior Research Fellow of the State Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology at Nankai University.

Research in Li laboratory has focused on cancer biology. Currently the major project on going in his lab is focusing on the role of abnormal lipid metabolic signatures on tumorigenesis and the potential of biomarkers. The pathway identified by Li is prostaglandin biosynthesis pathway dominates by loss of TSC, a tumor suppressors, in a female predominant rare disease of LAM. Which plays a critical role in the regulation of tumor cell growth, anti-apoptosis and metastasis. He has published original research articles and review articles in JEM, Cell Res, Red Journal, and JMCB, among others.
